Grenfell Community Insight Research

Digital scribe and illustrations for report

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea commissioned SMSR Research to work with communities around Grenfell in exploring the ongoing impact of the tragedy.

The resulting report brought together the testimonies of 133 residents of North Kensington, captured through focus groups and 1:1 interviews. I was tasked with creating powerful visuals to support the testimony and enhance its impact. This involved:

  • Reading through the testimony in its entirety, capturing key themes and presenting them in one cohesive rich picture

  • Identifying key images for use as standalone illustrations

  • Accurately representing the nuance and detail of participants’ responses

  • Honouring all contributions with sensitivity

The final report used both the larger rich picture and standalone images throughout.
